Android Pay was trying to supplant Google Wallet as the contactless payment platform for Android smartphones, and they actually did it.After Android Pay released in the US and came to UK, Poland, and Australia, it is now available in New Zealand.
There is only one bank card supported Android Pay in New Zealand now. BNZ Flexi Debit VISA Card will work with Android Pay starting today. Besides, they said, “everywhere contactless payments are accepted”. In this case, it includes McDonald’s, The Warehouse,Burger Fuel and more. Also, businesses with Android Pay systems do not need to do anything to enable it.
What about Canada
“Android Pay likely to launch in Canada soon”. In 9to5Google‘s latest release about Android Pay, the new version app may be on its way to Canada. More importantly, the new version features references to Interac. In fact, most Canadian banks, including TD Canada Trust, CIBC, and BMO support the Interact. Therefore, it seems Canadian Android users may able to use Android App soon.
