If you’re still playing Blizzard games on either Windows XP or Windows Vista, it’s about time you upgraded your operating system. Blizzard community manager Nate Valenta posted on the Blizzard Forums that starting this October, Blizzard will begin the process of ending support for Windows XP and Vista in World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Hearthstone and Heroes of the storm. Blizzard had continued to support these platforms up until now since a decent portion of their audience was still using them at the time. The vast majority of users have upgraded to newer versions of windows so it’s now time start the process of pulling the plug.
Microsoft and Johnson Controls have partnered together to create a new thermostat called GLAS. This new smart thermostat makes use of Windows internet of things core, Microsoft Azure, and even Cortana voice activation. The GLAS thermostat uses a touchscreen to allow for manual controls and to check on information including calendar schedule, air quality readings, and temperature. GLAS can even detect if people occupy a room or if a room is empty, allowing heat and air controls to be more efficient. There’s not pricing just yet on the GLAS smart thermostat.
Bethesda just announced the ultimate Doom update, version 6.66. Like all usual updates, there are a ton of fixes and improvements across multiplayer. But some of the bigger updates include a revised multiplayer progression system, a new runes system, UI, player information, and maybe the most important, Bethesda has retired the Doom Season pass and are making all of the multiplayer DLC content available for all. Bethesda also has dropped the price on the game to just $14.99 USD. I might have to pick it up now.

Sources say that Samsung is apparently ditching their plans to make a smart speaker assistant. Which doesn’t really make sense since they JUST got Bixby up and running in the US.
The Thermaltake view 21 tempered glass edition is set to hit store shelves at the end of the month with an MSRP of $70… not too shabby for a tempered glass chassis.
