China’s president Xi Jingping visited Microsoft’s campus at Redmond, Washington. On the same day Microsoft announced new tie-ups in China. The new deals will grant Microsoft greater access in China. Considering the government backed up market, to gain access means a lot to Microsoft.
However, at the same time, Microsoft have to make some changes in order to adapt into the Chinese market smoothly. One big modification is that Bing will not be the default search engine. Instead, Baidu, China’s biggest search engine will be used in Edge.
Other than this, there are many announced deals including localized Cloud service, windows phones in China, Windows 10 Express, and special version Windows for governments uses.
