Jensun says that the 1080ti can deliver up to 35%more performance than the regular 1080 and the Ti is faster than the titan x at 484 gigabytes per second of memory bandwidth. All of this performance at $699USD and will be available starting next week. WOOOO! Anyone wanna buy my EVGA GTX 1080 FTW so thIt i can go buy a 1080Ti?

Also announced at GDC 2017, Microsoft announced that they will start shipping Acer Windows Mixed reality developer edition headsets this month. The Acer headset will feature two high-resolution liquid crystal displays at 1440 x 1440, a display refresh rate up to 90 Hz, built in audio out and mic support thru 3.5mm jack, and a single cable with HDMI 2.0 and USB 3 for connectivity. Microsoft also expressed plan’s to bring mixed reality content to the Xbox One family of devices, including Project Scorpio, in 2018.

Speaking of headsets, oculus announced today that they are lowering the price of the rift headset and rift controllers by $100 each. So the rift is now priced at $499 and the touch controllers are $99. Jason Rubin, oculus’ VP of content, said that oculus sees the price as the biggest thing stopping people from adopting VR. Jason didnt comment on how much profit or loss Oculus makes per headset but he did say that $600 total for both the rift and controllers was a sustainable price that they are comfortable with as a business. Anyone who activated their controllers in the past 30d days would be able to apple for a $100 refund. Oculus also announced that the vr shooting game, robo recall would be free with purchase of touch controllers. Interesting, interesting, I wonder if HTC will drop the price on the Vive.
