Facebook might be back at it again with a new VR headset. Oculus is apparently working on a new VR headset that will be wireless, cost only $200 and will be ready for release in 2018. The VR device is codenamed “Pacific” and it sounds like it’s run by mobile hardware and won’t be powered by a smartphone or PC. Sources say that “Pacific” will be lighter than Samsung’s Gear VR headset and that it will come with a wireless remote. Like current Oculus products, the new headset will be geared toward immersive gaming, watching videos and social networking.

AMD revealed some more Ryzen information this morning with a video post on their youtube channel.  First up, AMD CEO Lisa Su mentioned the specs for their upcoming Ryzen 3 processors. The Ryzen 3 1200 is a 4 core, 4 thread CPU with a base clock of 3.1GHz and a boost clock of 3.4GHZ. The Ryzen 3 1300X will also be 4 cores and 4 threads, but it has a base clock of 3.5GHz and a boost of 3.7GHz. Lisa mentions that Ryzen 3 is meant to get more users into the Ryzen family. Ryzen 3 will hit shelves worldwide on July 27. The bigger news that AMD talked about was pricing for their Ryzen Threadripper CPUs. The 1920X, a 12 core 24 thread CPU, with clocks of 3.5 base and 4.0 boost will cost $799. The 1950x, which is a 16 core, 32 thread CPU, with clocks of 3.4 base and 4.0 boosts, will cost $999. Threadripper is set to hit shelves sometime in August. What do you guys think of the new pricing details for thread ripper? Will you buy one over Intel’s X series? Leave a comment down below.
