Facebook might be back at it again with a new VR headset. Oculus is apparently working on a new VR headset that will be wireless, cost only $200 and will be ready for release in 2018. The VR device is codenamed “Pacific” and it sounds like it’s run by mobile hardware and won’t be powered by a smartphone or PC. Sources say that “Pacific” will be lighter than Samsung’s Gear VR headset and that it will come with a wireless remote. Like current Oculus products, the new headset will be geared toward immersive gaming, watching videos and social networking.
